Spike TV's Hit Show "Auction Hunters" Will Be Airing Chicago Episodes On May 3 & May 10

Spike TV’s Hit Show “Auction Hunters” Will Be Airing Chicago Episodes On May 3 & May 10.

That’s right, Spike TV’s hit show Auction Hunters have Allen Haff and Tom Jones traveling around the country searching for treasures in storage units.

The show will be airing on Spike TV on May 3 and 10th.

If you follow the blog you know were not the biggest fans of this show. The units they show and stuff they find isn’t truly representative of storage auctions, however we understand it’s got to be more exciting for television and Storage Wars does the same thing so we’ll give them a pass on that.

Overall though neither character is really all that interesting or likeable and they don’t seem to be authentic storage auction hunters.

Another thing that bothered us was recently while flipping channels what did we see? We saw Ton wrangling snakes on show on Animal Planet channel. So Ton is a Storage Auction Hunter and part time snake wrangler? Upon doing a little more research you can find them both on IMDB movie site.

They are both actors. Ton has been on a CSI episode or two and also played “Biker #2 in a film called “The Fallen Night.” Allen has also been in a CSI episode and also had a role almost as important as Ton, Allen played “Airport Security Guard #2.”

Don’t get me wrong, I know actings a tough gig and people need something to supplement their income and storage units could be there thing but personally they nor the show come off as authentic. In all fairness Allen apparently is really in the re-sale business and started his own re-sale business by age 24.

Overall were not big fans of the show, we’d prefer to watch Storage Wars however check it out, you may like it. We’ll be watching these upcoming episodes if for no other reason than it was filmed in our Sweet Home Chicago.

Getting back to the show however, Allen & Ton are traveling the country. Again, not to harp on how much we dislike this show but for a real auction hunter traveling the country is just not realistic.

1. Your not going to be able to bring all that merchandise home without unreasonable costs.

2. Even if you find some big ticket items you don’t have your regular “experts” and sales channels, your in a city where you know nobody and have no contacts.

3. Your taking on a ton, pardon the pun, expenses with gas money, food, lodging, etc.

Again we digress. Ton & Allen will be Auction Hunting in Chicago in the upcoming episodes. What will they find? Allen wouldn’t say much but we do know they they may find a politicians jacket, who we don’t know. They are keeping tight lipped so you’ll have to tune in to find out for yourself.

Did you watch these episodes? What did you think? What do you think about the show overall? Do you prefer Auction Hunters or Storage Wars? We’d love to hear from you, leave a comment. As always leave a comment as well if you would like us to post more auctions for your city or state.
