Storage Auctions Popularity Is Way Down... The Fad Is Over

The popularity of storage auctions and everything surrounding them is down. Whether you're talking about auction attendance numbers, number of people visiting storage auctions websites or talk about or even people watching the reality shows like storage wars and auction hunters, interest in auctions is WAY down from where it was just a few years ago.

So is this a good thing or a bad thing? Well, if you're in the business of running a website or blog focused on the storage auction industry then it's a bad thing for you. As anyone knows, website traffic equals money, and if traffic is down so is money.

The Crowds Are Gone

That said myself and I think most people who got into blogging, writing e-books, operating storage auction informational websites and products; I think most of us got into it to supplement our income during a bad time of auctions when attendance is down.

This is what so many of us have been complaining about and hoping for for years, that interest would die down and auctions would no longer be a 100 person affair but a handful of guys showing up taking turns bidding on good units and not driving prices up on one another.

That time is back. Though auctions will probably never be what they were 5 years ago, the market has returned to normal, crowds at auctions are down, prices of lockers is down. This is what we have all been waiting for. It's now time to get out there and start getting some units and start making some money flipping those units.
